First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
  • You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
  • There are several tools to upload files.
  • Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.
Made a mistake?
  • Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Licencias

Hola Oscar, cuando solicites permiso para usar una imagen de una página web debes enviar un e-mail con este modelo de petición para la reproducción de imágenes, conservar tu email enviado y la respuesta con el permiso (si la recibes) para poner ambos en la página de descripción de la imagen.
Esto Image:Caracas-downtown.jpg no es válido, ha de quedar constancia para el futuro de que solicitaste ese permiso y te lo concedieron.
Esta imágen tampoco es válida Image:Rage3~0.jpg la página ha sido suspendida y no te puedes fiar de lo que te comenten en un chat.
Si tienes que enviar una solicitud en inglés aquí tienes algunos modelos redactados en ese idioma en:Wikipedia:Boilerplate request for permission. Recuerda que todas las imágenes de Commons deben estar libres de restricciones de uso, por lo que es muy importante que las personas entiendan para qué, dónde y en qué condiciones van a liberar sus imágenes. Hola, disculpa Oscar, no sabía que hubieras pedido una autorización para esas imágenes. Está bien como lo has puesto, con el enlace a la autorización de es.wiki. Tan sólo he cambiado la licencia por {{copyrightedfreeuse}} ya que no se puede licenciar GFDL porque tiene derechos de autor, mira como es la licencia Image:Caracas-downtown.jpg, si has subido más imágenes de esa web haz lo mismo, cambia la licencia y añade la autorización del mismo modo. Caracas

Esta muy bien la galería, sólo he quitado la Category:Cities in Venezuela porque ya está dentro de esa categoría y se vería redundante en la categoría superior, lo que podrías añadir son los interwikis, lo puedes esncontrar en Category:Caracas. Re:Duda conceptual

Hola Oscar, sí hay un sitio donde poner la autorización Category:Autorizaciones, ahí tienes ya dos que te pueden servir de modelo para crear la página con la tuya (recuerda categorizarla para que se incluya también ahí), luego agregas la plantilla adecuada con el enlace a la autorización en las imágenes y listo. Si no puedes comprobar su origen ni su licencia entonces no las puedes licenciar. Explícale esta situación a algún administrador de commons para que retire las imágenes. Commons:Administrators. La imagen la cedió su creador, creo que la info la puedes ver en las propiedades de las imágenes. Ahí aparece su correo y especificado que la cedió bajo las normas de la GNU

Encargos

Hola Oscar, ya están todas las imágenes borradas.
En cuanto a las de venezuelatuya, quizá valdría la pena pedir la confirmación del permiso antes de borrarlas. La gente no suele leer los enlaces a las condiciones de la licencia y a veces dan permiso sin saber realmente para qué, en algunos casos, al explicárseles que las imágenes tienen que cederlas libremente para redistribuirlas, modificarlas o incluso hacer uso comercial de ellas, han denegado la autorización. Explícales que esas tres son las condiciones exigidas por la licencia, si acceden se añade la confirmación a la autorización y listo, sino siempre hay tiempo de borrarlas, por intentarlo que no quede ¿no?. Imagenes con licencia

Ya he leído todo lo correspondiente a licencias y desde hace un mes me propuse a depurar todas mis imágenes con licencias erróneas. Si te fijas, ya no hay una sola foto o imagen Vectorial con licencia errónea.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Hola Óscar. Te agradezco muchísimo que te molestaras en contestarme en el café, me ayudas bastante.

Pues mira, algo que identifique al correo es el asunto, que era un tanto largo. Dado que el mensaje lo reenvié tal cual, tal y como el autor de las imágenes me lo había mandado, expliqué brevemente las cosas en el asunto. Bueno, tú busca "Permiso de OTRS, mediante el cual estoy autorizado a usar todas las imágenes del sitio web en cuestión". Ese es el asunto del correo, si lo pones, debería salirte. El remitente soy yo. "Luispihormiguero" pondrá (¿es necesario que te especifique mi correo aquí, en público?), aunque también verás que es un mensaje reenviado directamente, tal y como lo recibí del webmaster.
No especifiqué ninguna imagen, puesto que este permiso afecta todas las imágenes del sitio web en cuestión. Aunque, si te interesa, aquí tienes la única imagen del sitio web que de momento he subido.

Saludos Oscar. Pienso que mejor dejar el logo como esta, la bandera de Venezuela no puede ser agregada en ese logo de la forma en la que chile lo ha hecho debido a la cantidad de estrellas y complejidad de la Bandera. Hola, que tal Oscar. Solo tengo algunas cosas que decir:

1. No entendí si quieres que retire la zona en reclamación o que la incluya. En este mapa que dibujé hace algún tiempo sí se muestra la zona en reclamación, pero de una forma muy sutil, definida por líneas punteadas que van por el curso del río Esequibo.

2. Dado que Wikipedia (y sus proyectos hermanos como este de Commons) no es una entidad gubernamental venezolana en la cual todos sus mapas tienen que mostrar la zona en reclamación delimitada de forma notable, no es obligatorio pintarla ni mucho menos y de hecho muchos mapas que están alojados en este sitio ni siquiera la muestran. Sin embargo de igual también se tiene que tener mapas que muestren la reclamación, porque sino como se graficaría esto en un artículo ?

3. Mencionaste algo sobre varias discusiones llevadas en variados artículos sobre este tema, podrías darme el o los enlaces ?

Oscar disculpame, el que malinterpretó tu mensaje fui yo (estaba en otro asunto y lo leí de forma rápida). Sin embargo, creo que te refieres es a este otro mapa File:Localizador Politico Venezuela.svg, que es un derivado creado por otro usuario del que dibujé yo y el cual si se utiliza para muchas localidades dentro de la wikipedia en español (aún teniendo un mapa estandarizado como el File:Venezuela location map.svg).--Shadowxfox (talk) 16:27, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
